In short

This extension does not run its own backend that collects your profile or job history. Preferences and caches stay in Chrome's local storage on your computer. The extension talks to ProZ.com (and, if you upgrade, ExtensionPay) only to carry out the tasks you asked it to do.

What is stored on your device

All of the following is stored in Chrome local extension storage — it is never sent to a Bella™ server:

  • Your language pairs and job-watching preferences
  • Your private ProZ jobs feed link (this includes a personal token — treat it like a password and do not share it)
  • An optional ProZ API key (for Pro features when available)
  • A short cache of recent matching jobs, dismissed job IDs, and "seen" IDs used to power new-match alerts
  • Check interval, notification preference, and Free / Pro subscription status
  • ExtensionPay's local keys for subscription status (if you use the Upgrade option)

What the extension contacts

ProZ.com — to load your jobs RSS feed, open job pages in your browser, and read the Blue Board "likelihood of working again" score from those pages. Keyword search opens ProZ language-jobs pages directly in your browser.

ExtensionPay / Stripe — only if you use Upgrade or manage your subscription. Card details and payment handling are managed entirely by those providers; this extension never sees financial information.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not operate a competing marketplace. We do not upload your feed link, API key, or job cache to any Bella™ cloud account — those stay local unless you intentionally paste them elsewhere.

Permissions — why they exist

storage — saves your settings and job cache locally on your device.
alarms — schedules periodic background checks of your RSS feed.
notifications — fires a desktop alert when new matching jobs are found.
contextMenus — adds right-click options to search ProZ from selected text.
scripting — injects a small read-only script into temporary ProZ.com tabs when a direct feed fetch is blocked by Cloudflare, and to read Blue Board ratings. No user-browsing tabs are touched.
